Writing Competition

The sunrise above is the start or end of your story. It can be about any kind of journey. A real journey, a magical or imaginary journey. The street can be anywhere and almost any-when. Take a step onto the street and tell us where it goes.

Tell me a tale
of eons past or beyond the pale
Tell me a story
if it be true,
Mayhap a yarn sprite spoke to you
Where goes the road, and what did you do
on the road where the light shines red and true
What hides in the shadows
Who walks down the road
Make it a good one and let it be bold!

1. The contest will be judged by educators
2. Age groups: U12, U19, And Over (20 and up)
3. Typed, double spaced, email submission is encouraged - FRT2010writingcontest@hotmail.com

4. The story is limited to 5 pages max, and 1 page min.
5. Story must be family friendly
6. You MUST have your name, a working email address and your school affiliation IN the file
submitted to be considered for a medal (the email can be a parent's email).
7. Story must be submitted by May 8th, the week prior to the feis.
