New this year - two opportunities for Preliminary Championship dancers to move up to Open level. The George O'Leary Preliminary Championship Special (two round competition) will be held on Saturday afternoon, while the Feile Rince Tucson Preliminary Championship competition (three rounds) will be held on Sunday.
The wildly popular Riverdance Special, where 2 to 8 dancers can choreograph their own Irish dance routine to one minute of any music they choose, will end the day on Saturday. Costumes and music are supplied by the entrants and creativity is welcomed.
Music (traditional Irish music, for all ages), soda bread (sweet and savory), and poetry ("Ireland through the Five Senses") competitions are offered for the dancing and non-dancing members of your family.
The Charity t-shirt special will again benefit the Tucson Food bank and is offered both days - Saturday for the non-championship dancers and Sunday for the Championship dancers.
Trophies and medals given to top 50% in all competitions. Marley on all stages.
